AGREEMENT TERMS
1. The hall will be rented on a first come, first served basis for all open dates. This includes local organizations. The clerk must be contacted for availability of the hall.

2. Rental Fees:
a. All days, including set-up and clean-up days, must be reserved and counted when determining total rental fee.
b. For non-profit use such as weddings, graduations, and other gatherings:
- $50.00 per day for Town of Swiss Taxpayers
- $100.00 per day for Non-Town of Swiss Taxpayers
- No charge for funeral luncheons for Town of Swiss Taxpayers
- No charge for local community meetings/events and church events
c. For non-profit charitable use such as garage sales or suppers with proceeds for charity:
- $50.00 per day, for Town of Swiss Taxpayers
- $100.00 per day for Non-Town of Swiss Taxpayers
- The fees may be waived, upon written request, subject to approval of the Swiss Town Board; the board meets the second Tuesday of each month. If event occurs before the next board meeting, fees must be paid. If waiver is granted, fees will be returned.
d. For-profit use such as garage sales, tool sales, health screenings, etc:
- $100.00 per day for Town of Swiss Taxpayers
- $200.00 per day for Non-Town of Swiss Taxpayers
3. The town will return the rental fee upon receiving written notice of cancellation thirty (30) days before the event (minus a $10.00 handling fee).
4. A town hall key is available from the Chairman, Supervisor or Clerk.
5. Cleaning/Damage Deposit Fee:
a. The standard deposit fee is $350.00 for all users required to pay a rental fee. Depending on use of the building, the deposit fee may be reduced by the Chairman/Supervisor/Clerk using the checklist on the second page.
b. The deposit fee will be returned within ten (10) days after use and after building has been inspected by Town of Swiss personnel and found to be in satisfactory condition. If left in an unsatisfactory condition, you will be notified immediately. If condition is not corrected, the deposit fee will be retained per checklist.
6. Rental and deposit fees must be paid at the time of reservation to the town clerk. The signed contract must be returned with the fees to hold your date.
7. The cleaning/damage deposit fee will be returned if event is cancelled.
8. There is to be no smoking, no pets and no illegal drugs in the town hall.
9. No liquor is allowed in the town hall, NO EXCEPTIONS.
10. No pop machines or beer kegs are allowed in the town hall.
11. Only cans/bottles of beer, pop or wine may be served in the town hall.
12. If beer or wine is served on the premises, it is your responsibility to have a police or sheriff's deputy on duty during the event.
13. Individuals may serve beer and wine at no cost to their guests but it is illegal to charge a fee or ask for donations. If this is your plan, you must hire an organization to serve the beer and wine.
14. Organizations desiring to sell and serve beer/wine at functions are required to submit an application for a Temporary Class B Beer License ($5) and/or a Temporary Class C Wine License ($5) to the town board for approval prior to event. The organization must have a licensed bartender with a valid operator's license. License applications may be obtained from the town clerk and must be submitted fifteen (15) days prior to action by the town board; the board meets the second Tuesday of each month.
15. If the condition of the town hall is unacceptable at the time of your event, please bring it to the immediate attention of Town of Swiss personnel.
16. User of the facility is responsible for leaving the building in the same condition as when rented which includes removing all garbage from the premises. Bring your own cleaning supplies for kitchen chores such as dish soap and towels, etc.
17. Additional charges will be assessed for any missing items, broken items, or damage to the town hall.
18. All leftover food/beverages must be removed from the premises.
19. Due to damages which may occur, do not tape, staple or tack decorations of any type to the ceiling and do not staple or tack decorations to the walls.

Winter 62 degrees – Summer 70 degrees
