Town of Swiss Weight Restriction Contract

The TOWN OF SWISS grants exception to restrictions to haul products during the spring seasonal weight restrictions. This applies to TOWN OF SWISS roads only.

Contractors/haulers must contact municipalities or Burnett County Highway Department directly for routes that utilize their infrastructure routes or roads.

TOWN OF SWISS weight restrictions will require a load reduction to a maximum of 4.5 four and one-half tons per axle. Propane and fuel oil haulers should fill customer tanks before spring load restrictions begin, as their trucks are overweight on many posted roads even when empty.

Once the spring load restrictions are applied, they will remain in force until they are lifted sometime around May 15th.

This exception to exceed seasonal weight restrictions must be carried in the cab of the truck and available to the local law enforcement upon request to be valid.
